About the Founders

Walter Chen will be a lawyer some day, god willing. Walter studied computer science and mathematics at Cornell University. He received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and spent his summers with Vinson & Elkins, Baker Botts, Kirkland & Ellis, and the U.S. Department of Justice. Walter is now clerking on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Nathan Collins once trounced Walter in a game of crunch. Nathan studied computer science, mathematics, and physics at the University of Oregon. Although Nathan was working toward his Ph.D. in mathematics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, he left school with an M.A. to start Sonya Labs. Nathan synergistically leverages paradigm shifts to rock you like a hurricane.

Rodrigo Guzman is the zen voodoo master of most things irrelevant. Rodrigo studied computer science, mathematics, and physics at the University of Oregon. He has an M.S. in physics from Northwestern University and may some day finish his Ph.D. after Sonya Labs takes off. Rodrigo is a native of ubuntu and speaks python.
